Federal Minister of Industry Ibrahim Al-Sheikh has said that his ministry is working to implement an integrated strategic plan to develop sugar industry sector in the country, solve its problems and develop it with the aim of increasing production, indicating that factories suffer from multiple problems and obstacles that have led to the deterioration of production and productivity in Sudan.
The minister explained during his visit today to West Sennar Sugar Factory in Sennar State that the visit aimed to identify the challenges facing the sugar industry and investment sector in the state, affirming keenness of the government to remove all obstacles facing the industry in the country.
Al-Sheikh called on the state’s government and relevant authorities to make more efforts to advance the industrial sector, especially sugar industry.
