The Police Forces announced that 28 of its elements were injured during the processions today, Wednesday, one of them seriously, and 24 other policemen were injured in Bahri locality and separate areas of the capital, with different injuries.
The police underlined in statement issued, Wednesday night that some of the protestors tried to reach sovereignty utilities including the Presidential Palace, using the excessive force against the forces, but the forces repulsed them using the suitable means to disperse the rioters.
The police forces affirmed its commitment towards implementation of law concerning the protection of lives and preserving property and performing its duties professionally and impartially.
