Minister of Energy and Oil, Eng. Jadain Ali Obeid has welcomed the French concern and desire to invest in Sudan in natural gas and alternative energies fields.
This came when the minister, met, Tuesday, at his office, the French Ambassador to Sudan, Emmanuelle Platman and reviewed with her spheres of cooperation between the two countries in energy and oil fields, referring to the success of Paris Conference on Sudan Support.
The French diplomat affirmed her country’s concern over investment in the fields of natural gas and alternative energies, explaining the desire of some French companies including TOTAL and (Beicip Franlap to invest in Sudan.
For his part, Minister of Energy and Oil, Eng. Jaden Ali Obaid, affirmed Sudan’s interest in extracting natural gas, calling on French companies to return to work in Sudan in the field of exploration and production of natural gas and alternative energies for electricity generation.
