Sudan participated with a high-level delegation headed by the Minister of Trade and Supply, Amal Saleh Saad, in the ministerial meeting of the 109th session of the Economic and Social Council of the League of Arab States, which was held today, Thursday, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the league in Cairo.
The minister stressed that her participation in the meeting comes within the framework of Sudan’s keenness on multilateral work and strengthening the system of joint Arab action.
The minister affirmed Sudan’s keenness to enhance joint Arab cooperation in the various fields, especially development and what it requires of human and institutional development, stressing the need to activate the work mechanisms of the Economic and Social Council and to ensure the enforcement of its decisions.
She expressed Sudan’s welcome to the council’s initiatives to achieve development for all Arab countries, praising the level of preparation for the meetings and the fruitful discussion that took place at the level of experts and senior officials.
